Businesses have a ‘marvellous’ opportunity to blossom at a Weston creative hub, according to an entrepreneur who is enjoying its benefits.

Kyle Hannan – owner of Easy Media Company and member of The Stable – believes winning the Weston Super Startup competition will unlock new doors for fledgling firms.

The Mercury has joined forces with The Stable, in Wadham Street, to give away a 12-month membership for the creative hub, but just two weeks remain until the June 29 deadline.

The £1,000 prize will be handed to the best digital, creative or technology business – giving a burgeoning entrepreneur the chance to work alongside other enterprises in ‘beautiful’ co-working offices boasting top-class facilities.

Mr Hannan has relocated his operation, which creates multimedia marketing content for businesses, from Bristol to Weston – with hopes of capitalising on the town’s ongoing regeneration.

He said: “I have lived in Weston since 2005, and I’ve been commuting for years and years. When The Stable opened we saw this as the perfect opportunity to be based here, because it’s a 20-minute walk from my front door.

“It’s beautifully run and beautifully set up. It’s important, when Weston has this to offer, to invest and be part of its growing community.

“With the regeneration or reinvention of Weston, there is a new DNA in our town with new blood coursing through its veins, and basing ourselves at The Stable is a great way of being part of it.”

Mr Hannan hailed the hub’s flexible environment, with him able to seamlessly split his time between roles in Weston and London – in addition to benefitting from The Stable’s vibrant community.

He added: “The sense of community is important, and working by yourself doesn’t have to be working alone.

“This is a marvellous opportunity to get in with people who are making things happen in their lives.

“Anyone who gets the opportunity to be based here for a year would really benefit as part of a growing community.”
