Pursuit Training, is currently helping people from the age of 16, in the Weston and surrounding areas, train to work in the adult health and social care industry with fantastic results.

With the first batch of care academy students about to complete their 12 month programme, a large proportion of them have secured jobs or will be going into full-time employment as a result of the programme, which is government funded.

Managing director, Steve Horler, said: “We have also had a large number of adults attend the 19+ academy in order to re-train and enter the care sector, who have also found full-time work as a result.”

A number of care providers have given the students the opportunity to gain real-life experience of the care industry and many have employed students after the programme.

Pursuit Training, which is based in Oldmixon Crescent, Weston, also runs an IT training programme.

Mr Horler said the programme has attracted a range of different people and ages.

He said: “Our most recent class contained a student born in 1986 and another who was aged 86.”

To sign up to the programme call 01934 644996 or apply online via www.pursuittraining.co.uk
