WESTON’S Grand Pier has teamed up with the North Somerset Enterprise and Technology College to provide once a week work placements to students.
The aim is for students to learn work-related skills in a practical environment to prepare them for future employment.
The college (NSTEC) has been set up by Weston College for 14 to 19-year-olds, with a focus on science, technology, engineering and maths.
NSETC principal designate Tony Wilson said: “I am delighted the Grand Pier and NSETC are in partnership.
“The pier is a local and regional landmark and provides excellent opportunities for our students to experience a vibrant and successful commercial environment while working there.”
