WESTON’S Grand Pier will help launch a cancer charity’s campaign by hosting a tea party which is aiming to raise funds for vital services for cancer sufferers.

Marie Curie Cancer Care fundraiser Natalie Taylor will launch the organisation’s Blooming Great Tea Party campaign in the attractions Tiffany Room from 11.30am, with the aim of encouraging others to hold their own charitable parties from June 12 to July 12.

Natalie said: “It’s such an easy way to get together with friends or family. The money raised by simply popping the kettle on will help more Marie Curie nurses to provide free care to patients with terminal cancer and other illnesses in their own homes.”

Although the event is by invitation only, people interested in holding their own tea parties can do so by calling 08700 340 040 or visiting for a free fundraising pack.
