A SCREENING of a children’s movie at Weston’s Odeon raised hundreds for charity.
Popular Disney film Frozen pulled in 142 guests to raise cash for a national charity and to provide help for a Weston youngster.
Kelly Hunt, aged 32, organised the event to support Rett UK, which helps children with Rett syndrome – a rare neurological disorder affecting mainly women and very few men.
The event was also put on to raise money for the organisation Megan Shines, a group set up to support Megan Simpson, a 10-year-old who battles the condition.
The screening raised £205 and many children dressed as princesses for the day. The event also welcomed a couple of other youngsters who are dealing with the disease, who Megan was able to meet.
Kelly said: “It was a great morning. I want to say a big thank you to Will and his team at the Odeon, he really did a lot of hard work.”
