A FOOTBALL match will be held in memory of a young mum who died of cancer last year.
Mandy Jones was only 37 when she died as a result of melanoma, and 12 months on from her death her friends and family have organised an event to mark her memory and raise funds for charity.
The event at Springwood Gardens in Hutton on August 25 will feature two charity football matches, live music, a funfair, a bar and a variety of fun and games for all ages.
It will start at noon and continue into the evening, with camping available. While entry is free, camping is £20 a pitch and parking £5 a day. Among the acts performing are Nutty Noah and Combyne Arvester.
Proceeds will be shared between the Mandy Jones 4 U charity, which is trying to raise awareness of skin cancer in North Somerset; Weston Hospicecare, which treated Mandy during her final months; and Hutton Football Club.
If you want to get involved in the event call Tim on 07769 943332 or email enquiries@huttonfootballclub.org
