A watersports business will host an open day to celebrate the national Push The Boat Out initiative.

Staff at Cheddar Watersports, 
based on Cheddar Reservoir, are inviting people to get involved and try out a new watersport this summer.

The club will be offering £5 have-a-go sessions which will give people the chance to try sailing and stand-up paddleboarding.

Each half-hour session will be hosted by an experienced club members.

As well as enjoying the scenery and having a go on the water or watching the fun, visitors will also be able to try out the club’s facilities, meet its members and enjoy some homemade refreshments while casting an eye over the reservoir.

Sessions will take place on May 26 from 10.30am-5pm and people should meet at the Bristol Corinthian Yacht Club.

People from eight to over 80 years old are welcome and slots can be booked at www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/rya-push-the-boat-out
