A North Somerset village got into the Christmas spirit slightly early this year, at a festive market for charity.

Claverham Village Hall was filled with delicious festive treats on Sunday for a Christmas-themed market.

The event was hosted to raise money for Save The Children and Clavertots play group and saw a range of crafts put up for sale.

The tombola and cake sale stands were also firm favourites with guests, alongside a postbox which was staffed by George the elf – who was kept busy throughout the day sending letters to Santa Claus from the village’s youngsters.
