Sharon Hodges, aged 41, said she had acted in self defence after Philip Gibbs slashed her wrists at an incident last November.

Hodges was accused of murder at her trial in Bristol Crown Court after Mr Gibbs, aged 58, suffered a stab wound to the chest.

He also suffered from injuries to his arms and hands following a row in the early hours of November 19 at their home in Sand Bay Caravan Park in Kewstoke.

A unanimous verdict found Hodges not guilty of murder and manslaughter yesterday (Wed) at Bristol Crown Court.
