Clevedon’s seafront will be awash with kayaks, sailing boats and paddleboards at the weekend.

The third Lake Day will be held at Marine Lake from 10am-3pm on Saturday to coincide with the 89th anniversary of its opening.

Following the cancellation of the annual Tides Festival last month, the Lake Day has become one of the biggest fundraisers in the MARLENS’ calendar.

The charity, which promotes and maintains the lake, will put on activities both on the lake and on dry land.

Regular users of the facility are also being encouraged to sign up as a friend of Marine Lake to support its development and have a say in its running.

Although the weather is expected to get warmer by the weekend, children taking part in activities in the lake are advised to wear a wetsuit.
