A road is closed this morning (Thursday) following a two-car crash.

Coast Road, in Berrow, has been shut by emergency services after a collision, on the junction of Hurn Lane, just after 8am.

Traffic has been diverted through Red Road with police and ambulance crews at the scene.

*UPDATE* Coast Road has now reopened in both directions.

A spokesman for South West Ambulance Service said: “We were first called at 7.56am to Coast Road in relation to a two-vehicle collison.

“We attended with two ambulances, an operations officer and a helicopter. The police and fire service were informed.

“Two patients were taken to Weston General Hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.”
