COMMUNITY Resilience North Somerset will be touring around the district this month to show how it benefits different communities.

Representatives from North Somerset Council will be joined by officers from Avon and Somerset Constabulary and Avon Fire and Rescue Service.

They will be promoting their work to build strong, safe and resilient communities and there will be the opportunity to speak to existing volunteers.

The purpose of the project is to ensure people living in the district are prepared to deal with any emergency using local resources and trained volunteers.

There will also be a range of competitions and emergency service vehicles on display.

The tour will visit Sainsbury’s in Queensway, Worle on June 17, Cadbury Wyevale Garden Centre in Congresbury on June 18 and Weston Town Square on June 19.

The events will all run from 9am-5pm each day.
