The following cases were heard at North Somerset Courthouse from January 3-15.

* Leonard Greenwood (65), of Churchill Lane, Winscombe. Failure to provide a test specimen: Fined £135 plus £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge, banned from driving for 12 months.

* Calum Monks (27), of Weston Road, Congresbury. Drink-driving: Fined £120 plus £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge, banned from driving for 20 months.

* Michael Niemiec (30), of Claremont Crescent, Weston. Failure to provide a breath specimen: 12-month community order plus 80 hours’ unpaid community work, £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge, banned from driving for 28 months.

* Mehmet Ozden (56), of Grenville Road, Locking. Drink-driving: Fined £350 plus £250 compensation, £85 costs and £35 victim surcharge, banned from driving for 18 months. Driving without insurance: No separate penalty.

* Anthony Powis (33), of Claremont Crescent, Weston. Assault occasioning actual bodily harm: 12-month community order with six-week curfew, ordered to pay £200 compensation, £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Robert Thorne (29), of Milton Brow, Weston. Two counts of assaulting a police officer: Fined £160 plus £100 compensation, £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

* Charlene Turnball (29), of Box Bush Lane, Hewish. Drink-driving: Fined £120 plus £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge, banned from driving for 22 months.

* Katie Brooks (27), of Stowey Road, Yatton. Drink-driving: Fined £200 plus £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge, banned from driving for 12 months.

* Daniel Degrussa (26), of Wynter Close, Weston. Drink-driving: Fined £200 plus £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge, banned from driving for 18 months.

* Paul Lawrence (30), of Pembroke Road, Weston. Assaulting a police officer: Four-week community order with curfew, ordered to pay £50 compensation, £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Tyler Kibby (27), of Worthy Place, Weston. Breach of restraining order: Two-year community order and restraining order, ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge. Threatening behaviour: Ordered to pay £50 compensation. Assault: No separate penalty.

* Liam Claxton (28), of Mead Vale, Weston. Two counts of assault: 18-month community order, two-year restraining order, £300 compensation, £620 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Jessica Robbins (21), of Uphill Way, Uphill. Harassment: 12-month community order and restraining order, ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Sabbinah Alabaf (31), of Bristol Road Lower, Weston. Drunk and disorderly behaviour: Six-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.
