The following cases were heard at North Somerset Courthouse, near Weston-super-Mare, from January 24-26.

* Jody Creed (44), of Milton Road, Weston. Failure to comply with notice: Fined £50 and ordered to 
pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

* Deborah Peace (49), of Beechwood Avenue, Locking. Drink-driving: Disqualified from driving for 19 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Mark Morrison (33), of Gloucester Street, Weston. Sexual assault: 12-month community order and ordered to pay £625 costs, £500 compensation and £85 victim surcharge. Racially-aggravated public order offence: Fined £660.

* Marcus Price (34), of North Road, Banwell. Provocation of violence: 35-day community order and ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Matthew Rickford (32), of Walliscote Road, Weston. Two counts of theft: two four-month suspended prison sentences and ordered to pay £2,730 compensation. Failure to provide drug sample: No separate penalty.

* Florin Filip (22), of North Street, Weston. Driving while using mobile phone: Six penalty points, fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. Driving without insurance: Fined £300. Driving without valid licence: No separate penalty.

* Norman Ncube (50), of Aspen Park Road, Weston. Speeding: Disqualified from driving for six months, three penalty points, fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

* Rhys Reynolds (18), of Milton Brow, Weston. Drug possession: 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge. Driving without valid licence: 12-month conditional discharge. Driving without insurance: 12-month conditional discharge.

* Daniel Vye (21), of Ashcombe Road, Weston. Assault: 10-week suspended prison sentence and ordered to pay £85 costs and £115 victim surcharge.

* Oliwia Iwanicka (18), of Beach Road, Weston. Possession of blade in public place: 12-month community order and ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Steven Morris (45), of Corondale Road, Weston. Drink-driving: Disqualified from driving for three years, fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
