A MAN has pleaded guilty to assault after strapping two large kitchen knives to his hands during a family row.
Joseph Schuauker, aged 26, pleaded guilty to assault and criminal damage charges against his mother, Shirley Lemage, and his sister’s girlfriend, Scarlett Marsh.
The argument, surrounding rent and living conditions, occurred on April 30.
Schuauker was living with both Ms Lemage and Miss Marsh at his mother’s home in Weston at the time of the incident.
During a hearing at North Somerset Courthouse on June 2, Schuauker admitted punching Miss Marsh’s bedroom door before strapping two large kitchen knives to his hands during the bust-up.
The court was told how Schuauker, of Tanners Walk, Bath, struggles with alcohol issues and admitted to drinking three pints of cider before the incident.
He was given a restraining order against contacting Miss Marsh or visiting the property in Norfolk Road, Weston.
The court ordered Schuauker to pay a £245 fine to cover compensation and costs as well as sentencing him to an alcohol intervention order and a 12-month community order.
