The following court cases were heard at North Somerset Courthouse from September 4-12.

* Erin Guldede, Walkers Drive, Locking Castle (26). Drug-driving: fined £623 and ordered to pay costs of £930 and £62 victim surcharge.

* Tia Hocking, Baker Street, Weston (30). Drug-driving: disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

* Scott Spurling, Bristol Road Lower, Weston (23). Assault police constable and cause unnecessary suffering to an animal: community order. Assault: ordered to pay £500 compensation.

* Josephine Thomas, Greenfields Way, Weston (34). Driving without due care and attention: disqualified from driving for six months, fined £225 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

* Alexander Clarke, Ebdon Lane, Bourton (48). Speeding: disqualified from driving for six months, fined £267 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

* Nicholas Reefer, Stanley Road, Weston (44). Assault police constable: fined £120 and ordered to pay £100 compensation.

* Daniel Walsh, Appletree Mews, Weston (30). Driving without valid insurance: absolute discharge.

* Joshua Nigh, Glebe Road, Weston (29). Drink-driving: disqualified from driving for 22 months, community order and ordered to pay £775 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Kiernan Slocombe, Byron Road, Weston (19). Assault: community order and ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Anthony Bird, Kew Road, Weston (46). Speeding: disqualified form driving for six months, fined £269 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

* Luke Cockle, Ham Lane, Kingston Seymour (23). Speeding: disqualified from driving for six months, fined £369 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £36 victim surcharge.

* Martin Burge, Monkton Avenue, Weston (41). Criminal damage: ordered to pay £100 compensation. Use threatening words: fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

* Andrew Moore, The Boulevard, Weston (40). Five counts of theft: four-month prison sentence.

* Leon Scott, Wynter Close, Weston (18). Use threatening words: fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
