Part of the northbound carriageway was closed following the accident this afternoon (Thursday).

However, the road reopened full at about 2.20pm with the wreckage moved off the carriageway.

At its worst, Highways England South West warned of delays of more than 60 minutes in the area.

Traffic on the northbound side is stretching back to junction 23 (Bridgwater), while the southbound carriageway near Weston is also busy.
