A MILTON man completed a gruelling 193-mile cycle challenge – but says this was only a warm-up.

Aron Adams, aged 40, took part in the London-based bike ride as training for a Land’s End to John O’Groats trek in August.

He was joined by Paddy and Jay Clatworthy, who are hoping to raise £10,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Research in memory of their mother, Sheila.

Aron said: “The ride was a great chance for the three of us to train together as we live in various parts of the South West.

“There were some fantastic views during the 193 miles but when you are climbing over 11,000ft, sometimes you miss them.”

The Land’s End to John O’Groats challenge starts on August 28 and will take 10 days, covering more than 100 miles per day and a total of 70,000ft of ascent before they reach the finish line.
