More than 500 entries were received for Draycott and Rodney Stoke’s 35th village show.

There were categories catering for everyone, ranging from vegetables and photography to baking and housecrafts.

A spokesman said: “It was another outstanding success with both entrants and entries up over previous years, resulting in a very high standard of competition in all classes.

“The number of visitors was also up on previous years.

“All proceeds from the village show are distributed within the villages of Draycott and Rodney Stoke, and last year the committee donated £150 to the defibrillator appeal.

“The villages now have three defibrillators, the latest one being sited at the Memorial Hall.”
