POLICE have named another two motorists from Weston and one from Congresbury who have been charged with driving while under the influence of drink or drugs.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary relaunched its Operation Tonic campaign at the start of June, to last until the end of the month.

The force regularly implements the operation around Christmas and summer, but this time officers are also equipped with a drug-analysis kit.

The equipment will be used by police to test drivers for suspected drug use, including cannabis and cocaine.

Last week the force named four people from Weston who were charged, and this week have announced a further three.

Motorists who have been charged with driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol this week are Lee Martyn Bailey, aged 23 and of Congresbury, Sarunas Stonicius, aged 28 and of Weston, and Nigel Quick, aged 67, of Weston.
