Archant

Well-behaved children were able to have their Christmas wish lists delivered to Santa by beautiful barn owls on Sunday.

The North Somerset Birds of Prey Centre, in Congresbury, opened its doors to give people the chance to meet barn owls and enjoy a festive treat ahead of the day itself.

The owls collected each child’s letter and whisked them away to one of Father Christmas’ elves.

A spokesman for the centre, in Smallway, said: “Thank you to everyone who came to meet the owls – the letters are already on their way to Santa.”
