Animal lovers made the most of the weekend’s beautiful weather by visiting the North Somerset Birds of Prey Centre.

The Congresbury centre hosted an open day on Sunday afternoon.

Visitors were treated to flying displays from the centre’s various birds and were also given the chance to meet some of its lesser-known residents, including Apollo the fox, its raccoon dog Pebbles and numerous reptiles and ferrets.

A spokesman for the Smallway centre said: “Thank you everyone who visited us for our open day. What a beautiful sunny day it was.

“Our baby fox, baby skunk and baby owls were out and about and enjoyed meeting you all.”
