Children hit right notes in opera

PUPILS have performed in an opera they wrote and composed themselves.
The project, involving year four pupils from Bournville Primary School, has been taking place since September.
The children all applied for their own jobs from set designers to performers and created the script and music themselves.
The opera was called Boarding School Nightmare and was set in a school which, unbeknown to the headteacher, was being run by witches.
During the project, the pupils also had a chance to visit the Royal Opera House in London, where they learned how to apply stage make-up.
