COMBINING chocolate and one of the nation’s best loved children’s books was always likely to be a winner.

So it proved in Claverham as children at Yeo Valley Children’s Book Group had a special Roald Dahl day. It is national share a story month and the centre chose to mark the 50th anniversary of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.

Extracts of the story were read while the children also danced like an Oompa Loompa, tasted chocolate and designed their own confectionary.
