Churchill kids win top dance contest

ENERGETIC dance students have scooped a top award and will go onto compete in a regional final.

Pupils from Churchill Community School’s dance company, Yeo Dance, led by head of dance and choreographer, Shelley Withers, entered an Alice In Wonderland performance into the national Global Rock Challenge competition.

As well as winning the overall contest they were presented awards for best choreography, best set and costume design, and performer’s choice as voted for by the students from the other participating schools.
