Churchill pre-school has waved goodbye to 22 of its children who are starting at primary school in September.

A graduation ceremony was held where mortar-boards and gowns were worn, with the children all receiving a gift and a personalised certificate.

The children decorated their own graduation hats for the celebration.

Danni King, one of the pre-school’s acting leaders, spoke of her pride at having taught the leavers.

She said: “I feel privileged to have had such a fabulous group of children come through and graduate from our Pre-School.

“They have been an absolute asset to the setting and have taught us a lot along the way too.

“The best thing about working with children is watching them blossom into the unique individuals that they become.

“I wish them all the best of luck in the future and I have no doubt that they will continue to succeed in everything they set out to do.”

Acting pre-school leader Samantha Stone added: “This special group of leavers has met and exceeded expectations and we would like to wish our children every success in their new schools and thank parents and supporters of the Pre-School over the last year.”
