COCKROACHES, reptiles, rats and stick insects were all on show as Bristol Zoo brought some of its creatures to a primary school this week.

Youngsters at Churchill primary School got to hold the animals as they learnt about Madagascar.

Headteacher Valerie Tighe said the special event had been donated by a generous former parent and said it would help stimulate the pupils’ classroom work.
