Father Christmas and his helpers made a very special appearance at Ashbrooke House School this week.

The school, in Ellenborough Park North, hosted its Christmas fair and more than 100 children, parents and teachers donned their very best festive outfits.

The event was organised by the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and gave the children the chance to choose a present and have it wrapped by the elves.

There were also a host of treats and gifts available at a range of different stalls.

A spokesman for the PTA said: “It was a fantastic turnout and we had turkey and cranberry baps and there was a carols by candlelight service.

“This is a brand new event and we feel it went really well. We would like to thank Batch Country House in Lympsham as they were fantastic and provided all the turkey.

“We are still counting how much we have raised but we are hoping to purchase some interactive white boards.”
