A GROUP of 50 children and adults from Windwhistle Primary School travelled to see a football match at the weekend thanks to a generous gift.

They watched Bristol Rovers play against Oxford in Sky Bet League Two on Saturday, thanks to a donation of tickets and a coach from the Bristol team. The match was played at the Memorial Ground in Bristol.

Rovers and the school in Kingsley Road, Weston, plan to work together in the future to encourage children who love football to improve their reading skills while having fun with the Premier League Reading Stars programme.
