Free mini jobs convention in Weston

CAREER guidance service Connexions is holding a free jobs and training day in Weston for young people.

Various training and education providers will be attending the event such as Army Careers, National Apprenticeship Service, Brunel and Gordano Training and Upper Cut Salon.

The event will take place at the Weston Connexions Office on The Boulevard on June 2 from 2-4pm.

It is aimed at all 16-20 year olds who are unemployed in North Somerset as well as any year 11s, 12s and 13s who haven’t decided how to progress with learning new skills or job hunting.

A spokesman for the organisation said: “We are keen that our unemployed young people make the right choices about their futures, to do this they need to explore their options and speak to people with the knowledge to help them.

“Young people attending are free to drop in, wander around the event speak to the experts and seek information, advice and guidance about jobs, training and educational options.”
