Pupils at a Somerset school marked the penultimate week of term with their annual charities week.

Students from Kings Of Wessex Academy, in Station Road in Cheddar, put on a week of events based on this year’s theme, films.

The senior student team and house captains put on a number of break and lunchtime events including a leg wax, fancy dress day and head-shaves.

This year it was raising money for the village’s wellbeing café, GlobalGiving and SUDEP Action in memory of fellow student Johdi Russell who died suddenly in October this year.

Events also included an auction which featured an iPhone and iPad Mini as prizes.

Students were tasked with eating some interesting food combinations in an I’m A Celebrity-like challenge and taking on their teachers in Who Wants To Be A Slum Millionaire and Would I Lie To You.
