Sandford Primary School opened its new kitchen in style on Thursday (Dec 09) with a special launch lunch. Councillor Ann Harley, the chairman of North Somerset Council, officially opened the state-of-the-art kitchen before pupils tucked into a hearty lunch feast. Headteacher Lin Williams said: “The kitchen was built with a generous grant from the council, and the pupils love it.

“The special lunch was made with vegetables grown by the pupils in our garden, and cooked by our new cook Tina Farnden, who is fantastic.”
