Pupils at a village primary school have performed an annual summer show.

Mark First School, in The Causeway, performed Cinderella & Rockerfella in a large marquee on the school field.

The whole school took part in the production, with headteacher Anna Yates also appearing in a cameo role.

The show proved hugely popular with the audience who also got involved with some of their own participation.

Nikki Hewson, the school’s music teacher, said: “The children worked so hard mastering some challenging harmonies and learning so many words.

“They are all stars.”

The school has also hosted its open day to allow year four pupils to show visitors around the site and discuss all aspects of the school and what they have learned there.

A spokesman said: “Once again their knowledge, manners and enthusiasm impressed our visitors who enjoyed their tour.”
