A village nursery school is celebrating an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted rating after its first inspection under an ‘inspirational’ new owner.

The Rainbow Montessori Nursery School in The Lynch, Winscombe, earned the top rank in all service areas; leadership, teaching, personal development and behaviour, and outcomes for children.

The report praised the venue’s ‘enthusiastic and motivated’ staff who give children ‘strong levels of confidence and support’.

It adds: “The inspirational leader supports enthusiastic and motivated staff exceptionally well in their professional development.

“Staff are meticulous at protecting children in and out of the nursery.

“Highly effective interactions ensure excellent outcomes for children from their starting points.

“There is exceptional support for children who have special educational needs.”

The nursery school is hosting an open day from 10am to noon on September 22.
