PRIMARY School pupils in Weston have set the benchmark for the Olympics after holding their own opening ceremony on Monday.
Children from Ashcombe Primary School, in Earlham Grove, were decked out in bright colours and waved flags and model Olympic torches in celebration.
The ceremony is just one of a number of events the school has held to commemorate the Olympic Games’ visit to London this year.
The pupils put on an Olympic torch relay around the school and local neighbourhood on Friday afternoon.
