A preschool has received an ‘outstanding’ rating in all areas in its first Ofsted report.

Play and Learn Preschool, which is run from Mead Vale Community Hall, was given a glowing report by the education watchdog.

In her report, inspector Rachael Williams praised the ‘exceptionally high and consistent teaching’.

She said: “Children thrive, forming extremely close bonds with familiar staff.

“Staff use their expert knowledge and research to provide highly stimulating activities and a very enriching learning environment. This wholeheartedly excites and motivates children’s curiosity to learn.

“All children develop excellent skills to prepare them exceptionally well for their eventual move to school.”

The preschool is run by Julie McCallum and Julie Ross, who also run another Play and Learn Preschool at Worle Village School.
