Primary school ranked in top one per cent for writing skills

Burrington Church of England Primary School has been congratulated by the Government for reaching high standards in writing.

The school is in the top one per cent of schools in England for writing in year six SATs results.

Secretary of State for schools Nick Gibb sent a letter of congratulation to the school.

Headteacher Alison Waite said: “The children’s writing at the school is excellent and the letter is a testament to the hard work of the staff and the children.”
