Year 10 students swapped their classroom desks for an assault course last week as part of a project to challenge themselves.

The 21 pupils at Kings of Wessex School in Cheddar visited the Vivary Adventure Centre in Taunton to follow-up projects they began earlier in the year, where they had been required to make a presentation on a new interest.

As part of the scheme, they took to the high ropes of the centre to test their self-motivation and team-building skills.

To finish off their project, the students will be visited by Leeds University to set them a practical engineering task next month.
