YOUNGSTERS at a Weston primary school got into the groove of the 1960s as part of a history project with a jubilee twist.
Milton Park Primary School pupils all dressed in outfits from different decades for their history week, with those in year five becoming children of the 1960s for the day.
Other year groups represented decades from the 1950s to the present day, tied into the years of the Queen’s reign for the jubilee.
Children then had a picnic on the school’s playing fields, with parents invited to take part in the celebrations.
School administrator Christine Robinson said: “They absolutely enjoyed themselves. It was great to see their costumes and I was astounded when I saw them.”
