THE colourful crafts of Weston and Worle youngsters were put on display and the creators were rewarded during a school art competition.

The results of Weston Rotary Club’s primary school art competition were revealed at Weston Museum in Burlington Street and many children went home with certificates and prizes for their hard work.

This year 18 schools submitted work for judging and these pieces will be exhibited at the museum until Tuesday.

Club president Stewart Evans presented overall winners Lucie Antoine from Kewstoke Primary School and Stephanie Smurthwaite from Windwhistle Primary School with their awards.

Highly commended certificates were also given out on the night to pupils who had shown a real artistic flair.

Rotary members thanked sponsors which included Mark Wayne, managing director of BWOV Ltd, as well as the support received from Worle Community School.
