A TALL pointed dunce hat, old-fashioned bonnets and knitted blankets were just some of the things which took pupils at Ashbrooke House Primary School back in time to the Victorian era.

The school held a Victorian-day for its class six pupils, giving the children a hands-on history lesson.

The dunce’s hat was there to stop children from stepping out of line and a traditional hand bell was used to let the pupils know it was time to move from one lesson to the next as part of the event.
