Students from a North Somerset school travelled to Hertfordshire this week to showcase their skills on stage.

Performing arts pupils from Churchill Academy travelled to Stevenege to take part in the Rock Challenge – walking away with an impressive fourth-place finish.

The Rock Challenge is a drama and dance competition organised by healthy living charity the Be Your Best Foundation, where schools from across the country battle to wow the judges with innovative stage performances.

The Churchill students did not let the long journey hamper their performance, earning special recognition for their original production, Timeless.

The judging panel cited their excellent choreography, performance skills and entertainment value while Hertfordshire Police awarded Churchill with the special Spirit Of The Rock Challenge prize, commending their performance and attitude.
