Schoolchildren got a taste of what it was like to live in the Stone Age when they were visited by a storyteller.

Year three pupils at Windwhistle Primary School, on Weston-super-Mare’s Bournville estate, spent time with a storyteller who was able to bring the information to life.

The youngsters learned about the way the prehistoric hunter-gathers lived, how they made their clothes and shelter, and what they ate.

They also took part in a woolly mammoth hunt around the school, which is based in Kinglsey Road.
