GLAMOROUS gowns and the bright lights of Weston’s Grand Pier were all part of Sidcot School’s prom.

The teens, decked out in their finery, arrived in style for the formal event, pulling up in Porches, mustard-yellow Ferraris, classic cars and even a tractor.

A train was waiting to ferry the students, who attend the Quaker school in Winscombe, from the pier’s entrance to its doors to enter the ballroom.

Groups of dapper young men crowded around the gates of the pier to be photographed by friends and family, along with a host of girls clad in princess-style dresses and sequined gowns.
