Students from Worle Community School, Hans Price Academy and Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College created storyboards to show illustrations of their game idea and described how they worked by annotating each frame.

They also had to produce a marketing plan for their mobile application and decide on a pricing strategy.

Although their creations be a free ‘app’ to begin with, students also had to say how they could be profitable in the future.

All finalists presented their ‘apps’ to a team of judges including Anthony Norton of Arthursoft, an app developer, Simon Savage of Illuminasi Ltd and Jason Hill of Logical View Solutions Ltd at Weston College.

Worle Community School students Ellie Moore and Mollie Bowskill were awarded first place for Raining Pizzas.

The girls will have their game developed by a mobile gaming organisation and it will be made available to download onto mobile devices as an ‘app’ to the Android market.

They also received £200 in vouchers and a trophy.
