STUDENTS from Weston have shared their sporting knowledge with primary school pupils to celebrate the Olympics.

Weston College students helped celebrate World Sports Day with tots across North Somerset and delivered fun sport sessions.

The activities ranged from football and hurdles to long-jump and sprinting at Fairlands Middle School in Cheddar, Cheddar First School, Draycott and Rodney Stoke First School and Shipham First School.

Student Sarah Jackson, aged 17, who studies sports and exercise science, said: “We planned the sessions in college and it was a great experience working with the children, who were so excited about the Olympics.”
