GOATS, face-painting and the odd burger or two were all essential ingredients for a Weston school’s summer open day.

Hans Price Academy threw open its doors for pupils and families during a community fun day on Saturday and the sun shone throughout, making for a perfect family occasion.

As well as the traditional fete games and attractions, there was also a trampoline, climbing wall, music and a bungee run to keep the crowds entertained.

Youngsters played on the bouncy castles, while children and adults alike enjoyed the petting zoo which featured some of Hans Price’s resident animals and teens took part in a dance workshop.

As the younger guests played with their friends, parents and carers enjoyed a hog roast and barbecue in the sunshine.
