A tutor group from Kings Of Wessex Academy has been presented with an award for the second consecutive year.

The pupils from tutor group 10KA were handed the award from headteacher Gavin Ball for receiving the most points for the smartest uniform in the year group.

Year 10 leader Mrs Gray praised the students and their tutor, Mrs Armistead, for taking such pride in their school uniform – including having their shirts tucked in, wearing black socks and the correct shoes.

The pupils were treated to cake in the Kings Café and Mr Ball explained the importance of being smart to create a good impression – both for now and for the future when applying for jobs and moving into higher education.

He added: “Well done to all the students in 10KA for this splendid team effort for being so consistently smart in their uniform this term.

“I am very proud of them all for their sense of duty and positive self-respect.”
