A DAY nursery has been declared ‘outstanding’ following an inspection by schools watchdog Ofsted.

Tiny Toes Nursery in Uphill Road South, Uphill, has received the highest possible grading from Ofsted.

Manager and owner Emma Long has been running Tiny Toes for 11 years.

She said: “We were ecstatic with the result.

“We have been working really hard to get outstanding as we were graded good last time around.”

The Ofsted report said the babies and children make ‘outstanding progress’ and that staff make ‘excellent’ assessments of their achievements.

It also says the staff’s communication with parents is very good, and it is a warm environment.

The report says: “The owner and her well-qualified team provide an exceptional range of learning experiences, both inside and out, for babies and pre-school children.”
