YOUNGSTERS from St Anne’s Primary School in Hewish wrote on boards using chalk, wore the dunce’s hat and spent a day in period clothing as they learned about living in the Victorian era.
Pupils from year one visited Blaise Castle in Bristol and learned about the difference between 19th century and 21st century educations with the help of authentic toys, clothing and teaching methods.
